The 35th International Coastal Cleanup is right around the corner! On Saturday, September 19, people from all walks of life come out to play a role in this global effort to remove debris from beaches and waterways. Come join us to take a bite out of litter.
Wakulla County beaches are the closest beaches to Tallahassee. Let’s join our Wakulla County neighbors in September for a grand day of beach clean-up! Each year an average of 8 tons of debris has been removed from our local waters on clean-up day. This is an enormous undertaking and requires lots of volunteers!
It’s a wonderful opportunity to participate in volunteering for our community. Students qualify for community service hours, so bring the entire family for a day on the coast and a day to reinforce how important it is to keep our beaches and waters free from trash!
