Would you like to become a speaker for Climate Change?
The CLEO Institute, a non-profit organization for Climate Literacy Education Opportunities, is launching its North Florida programming by offering a comprehensive Climate Communication Certificate Course in collaboration with Florida A&M University's Sustainability Institute.
Beginning on February 29th, CLEO will be initiating the first North Florida Cohort of the CLEO Speakers Network (CSN), a state-wide certificate program that allows individuals to be inducted into a network of certified climate communicators. CSN aims to build individuals’ speaking capacity, simplify climate science, its seriousness and effectively communicate to the general public.
The CLEO Speakers Network helps to provide participants with training, support and personalized mentorship to certify people as climate communicators and induct them into a network of climate communicators from across the state. CLEO will help interested individuals by providing credible science resources, localized impact data, and solutions-oriented structure to help participants shape your own climate-solutions narrative. You take on as much or as little content as you wish when designing the scope of the presentation, with help from CLEO Staff.
Participants will have access to science-based data from the world's leading research institutions and be mentored on how to shape personal climate narratives.
Food and drinks will be provided. Transportation and childcare services are available upon request.
