  • October 11, 2019
  • 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
  • UF/IFAS Leon County Extension, 615 Paul Russell Road, Tallahassee

"When it comes to the quality of the water flowing through our streams and entering our lakes, everyone living in a watershed plays a part in maintaining the health of these important natural resources," says Mark Tancig, Commercial/Residential Horticulture Agent at UF/IFAS Extension Leon County.

Leon County has 25 watersheds within its boundaries. You can learn about how to protect local water quality by learning about local watersheds in this "Clean Water and You Water School".

This event, hosted by UF/IFAS Leon County Extension, features a variety of sessions ranging from Leon County's water quality monitoring program, tips for septic tank maintenance and upgrades, Florid Friendly Landscaping, and a guided tour of two Leon County stormwater management facilities and the UF/IFAS Extension Leon County demonstration gardens.

It is free to attend and lunch is provided, however, registration is required.  Register at https://2019leonwaterschool.eventbrite.com.
