This free webinar focuses on legislation that passed and failed and budget items from the 2019 Florida Legislative Session, including the implications of SB 7068 for tolled expressways and HB 7103's implications for managing growth. These and other actions taken during the session have significant public policy impacts for planning, conservation, transportation, community design and other issues of concern to many Floridians.

1000 Friends President Paul Owens, Policy and Planning Director Thomas Hawkins, and Board Member Emeritus and Past Chairman Lester Abberger will discuss key legislation and budget provisions and how this could impact state and local governance and planning in Florida.

This event has been approved for 1.5 AICP CM LEGAL CREDITS for planners (#9170053), 1 CEC for Certified Floodplain Managers, 2 CLE for Florida attorneys (#1900739N), and 1.5 course hours for Florida DBPR Landscape Architects (course #0011416, provider #PVD151).  This course was not approved for credits for Florida Environmental Health Professionals.
