 Join Us at Green Drinks!

Stephen Hodges, Senior Planner at the Tallahassee-Leon County Planning Department, will be our speaker on the topic: "Local Planning for Greenways and Trails".  We have many greenways created in the last few years , and there are plans for more, so this is an important topic to not miss!

The 2015 Tallahassee–Leon County Greenways Master Plan identified and prioritized 32 separate greenway trail projects with a total estimated construction cost of $50 million. The Master Plan described each greenway trail project in full, including its proposed name, length, related improvements, and estimated cost.

The total number of proposed trails is approximately 159 miles (87 miles within unincorporated Leon County and 72 miles within the City of Tallahassee). These proposed trail projects originate from the 2004 edition of the Greenways Master Plan, Blueprint 2000, the Leon County Department of Public Works, including the Division of Parks and Recreation, and the City of Tallahassee’s Department of Parks, Recreation, and Neighborhood Affairs.

Stephen Hodges is a Senior Planner with the Tallahassee-Leon County Planning Department. He previously worked for the U.S. Government, Florida State University, and the State of Florida in various positions as an environmental analyst and planner. He has been with the Planning Department for more than 20 years.
