Join Us at Green Drinks!
This month’s program is “Backyards and Beyond: Creating a Refuge for Wildlife at Home”, by Liz Schold of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation.
When we think of conservation, we often think of wild land; someplace “out there” and removed from our daily lives. However, you can make an important difference for wildlife right around your home! The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Backyards and Beyond initiative will help you do just that. Come learn about resources for turning your yard into an urban oasis, and find out more about our upcoming City Nature Challenge event!
Liz Schold is the coordinator of the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail and a lover of wildlife great and small, at home and across the globe. She has been working in avian research and conservation efforts for nearly a decade.
Green Drinks gatherings combinean opportunity for conversation, meeting others interested in sustainability, and hearing an interesting speakeron a sustainability topic.
Come at 5:30 to greet old friends and meet others who share an interest in sustainability. The program begins at 6:00.

Where is GrassLands Brewery? It’s on Gaines Street, in the block just west of Railroad Avenue, across from the Marriott Residence Inn building. Due to area construction, parking is limited, but is currently available across the street in the grass/dirt lot. www.grasslandsbrewery.com
