Henrietta Park was originally constructed by Leon County as a regional
stormwater management facility in 2000-2001 to mitigate flooding and improve
water quality within the Munson Slough.

depositing trash and sediment collected along the way. Despite the utilitarian function of the
facility, the park has become a popular destination for birds and bird watchers
as well as other outdoor enthusiasts who take advantage of the multiuse trail.
