Water Resources Committee

Promote protection and preservation of water resources and sustainable land development practices through education, outreach and collaboration.

The committee meets the first Tuesday of every month at Crispers (1241 Apalachee Pkwy).

2017 Goals

The committee will continue to collaborate with our valuable community partners such as Leon County, City of Tallahassee, Tallahassee Museum and IFAS/Leon County Extension to engage in activities and events that work to better our precious water resources.  We will be organizing a lake cleanup event, assisting homeowners associations and citizens to implement sound water management practices, volunteering at the Tallahassee Museum and preparing educational information among many other things.

2016 Accomplishments

Assisted Killearn Estates HOA with renovation of two parks including implementation of Green Infrastructure to address erosion and water quality issues.

Volunteered in Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) Saturday educational event at the Tallahassee Museum where we performed fun water quality experiments.
